In a bid to resolve public grievances and ensure prompt redressal, a Janata Darbar (People’s Court) was organized under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania.
During the Janata Darbar, while addressing matters related to the General Section, the DC issued clear and strict instructions that all government works and public applications falling under the General Section must be disposed of within the stipulated time frame. He warned the concerned department staff in a firm tone that bringing transparency and efficiency in public welfare works is the top priority of the district administration. He cautioned that if any officer or employee is found negligent in future, causing delay in work, strict disciplinary and departmental action will be taken against them.
During the event, residents from urban and rural areas of the district presented various issues before the DC , including land acquisition and compensation payment, Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana, pension, and housing-related matters. The DC personally heard the problems of all present citizens one by one and assured them that all complaints brought to his notice would be thoroughly investigated and resolved at the earliest.
On-the-spot resolutions were also provided by the concerned departments for several issues, such as adding names to ration cards, applications under Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana, pension, and revenue-related matters.
Additionally, to ensure quick and local-level resolution of public problems, the DC directed all BDOs and COs to resolve the maximum number of grievances during the weekly Janata Darbar held every Wednesday in all blocks and anchals of the district. The main objective of this initiative is to eliminate administrative and mental hardships faced by the common people.
Several applications and complaints related to various departments were also received. After listening to the grievances, the DC instructed the concerned officers to conduct physical verification of all applications and resolve them expeditiously.
He further directed all Anchaladhikaris to take strict action against illegal encroachments on government land. He also instructed all concerned officers to take prompt action on these complaints and submit feedback to the DC’s office within one week so that proper monitoring of the disposal of complaints can be done.
