Major changes have been made to the traffic arrangements in the capital, Ranchi, today due to the Jharkhand Tribal Festival. Vehicular movement will be restricted on the stretch from Jail Chowk to Bapu Vatika.
In view of security and expected crowds, the administration has implemented traffic diversions and designated specific parking areas. Therefore, before leaving home, please check which routes are closed to vehicles and where parking facilities have been arranged for you.
Traffic arrangements on several key city routes have been modified specifically for the Jharkhand Tribal Festival. To manage crowds and ensure public convenience, the traffic police have restricted vehicle entry at various locations and designated specific parking sites.
According to an order issued by Traffic SP Rakesh Singh, vehicle movement is completely prohibited on the routes from Jail Chowk to Karamtoli Chowk, Karamtoli Chowk to the SSP Residence, and the SSP Residence to Bapu Vatika. Depending on the crowd size at the event, traffic may also be diverted to other routes or temporary measures implemented if necessary.
Parking for vehicles arriving from the Bodya Road side has been arranged at the TRI Ground. Meanwhile, vehicles coming from the directions of Tatisilwai, Khelgaon, Buti More, RIMS, and Bariatu will be parked at the DIG Ground to reduce traffic pressure on main roads.
Vehicles arriving from Khunti, Jamshedpur, Gumla, Lohardaga, Ramgarh, Ratu, Kanke, and Pithoria will reach designated parking sites via Kanke Ring Road, Chandni Chowk, and the Ram Mandir route. Vehicles coming from Dhurwa, Hinoo, Doranda, Main Road, Radium Chowk, Lalpur, Kantatoli, Harmu, and Argora areas will be directed to park at the Ranchi University Ground, passing through New Market Chowk, Hotlips Chowk, Ram Mandir Chowk, SSP Residence Chowk, Randhir Verma Chowk, ATI More, and Sido-Kanhu Park. The administration states that extensive preparations have been made to ensure that attendees face no inconvenience.
A joint team comprising police and administrative personnel will remain deployed throughout the event to manage parking, traffic diversions, and security arrangements. The public is urged to adhere to the designated routes and parking arrangements and to cooperate with the traffic police’s instructions.
