The city is set to host the Global Pride of India Award 2026 on August 23, bringing together achievers from diverse fields to recognize their contributions and accomplishments. The awards ceremony is being organized by The Global Business and will felicitate talented individuals, entrepreneurs, business professionals, educationists, medical practitioners, social workers, artists and those associated with the entertainment sector.
A major attraction of the event will be the presence of Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi as the special guest. Qureshi, known for her performances in films such as Gangs of Wasseypur and Jolly LLB 2, has established herself as a prominent actor in Hindi cinema.
She is also associated with the upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which features a prominent cast including Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani and Tara Sutaria. Her presence at the Jamshedpur event is expected to add glamour and further raise interest among the city’s audience.
The organizers, Mikku Singh, Sachin Kumar and Avinash Singh, said the primary objective of the Global Pride of India Award is to recognize people who have achieved distinction through dedication, hard work and excellence in their respective fields.
They said the awards have been conceived not merely as a platform for felicitation but also as an effort to encourage young people to pursue their ambitions and contribute positively to society. The organizers added that achievers from different professional and social backgrounds will be recognized during the ceremony.

The core organizing team comprises Asha Singh, Amit Verma, Harsh Singh, Kashish Kumari, Debarati Baidya, Abhishek, Aarfin Ashraf and Basant Das.
