The district administration reviewed preparations for the 80th Independence Day celebrations at a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha and Superintendent of Police Nathu Singh Meena at the Collectorate on Tuesday.
The meeting covered arrangements at the main venue at Police Line Ground, Sector-12, including stage, barricading, seating, electricity, parade and rehearsals. Security, traffic, parking, cleanliness, medical facilities, drinking water and flag-hoisting arrangements were also reviewed.
The DC directed all departments to complete pending works within the stipulated timeline and ensure proper coordination. Preparations for the cultural programme at Shibu Soren Memorial Bhawan on the eve of Independence Day were also discussed.
Deputy Development Commissioner Shatabdi Majumdar, Additional Collector Sunil Chandra, DPLR Purnima Kumari, Regional Deputy Director, JIADA Manoj Kumar, Chas SDO Pranjal Dhanda, General Branch In-charge Kumar Kanishk and officials from various departments and the police administration attended the meeting.
