Student honoured with Sardar Bakhshish Singh Memorial Award 2026

Suhana, a meritorious student of Khalsa Middle School, Burmamines, was honoured with the prestigious Sardar Bakhshish Singh Memorial Award 2026 at the school.
Suhana, daughter of Arvind Rai and Mrs. Shyama Devi, received the award along with a cash prize of Rs 10,000 in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement. She had secured the first position in the school in the Jharkhand Academic Council Class 10 board examinations held in 2026.
The school community lauded Suhana for her dedication, hard work and discipline, describing her achievement as a matter of pride for the institution.
The award was presented by Harbhajan Singh and Mrs. Parvinder Kaur, Directors of Advait ScaleUpp Pvt. Ltd., who congratulated Suhana and wished her success in her future academic pursuits. They expressed hope that the recognition would motivate her to continue her studies with the same determination and commitment.
The Sardar Bakhshish Singh Memorial Award was instituted in memory of the late Sardar Bakhshish Singh, a former Secretary of Khalsa Middle School, in recognition of his significant contribution to the development of the institution and the field of education. Introduced in 2025, the 2026 edition marked the second year of the annual award.
The initiative aims to encourage meritorious students for their academic excellence while inspiring others to set ambitious goals, work hard and strive for success.
Speaking on the occasion, the organisers noted that Suhana’s achievement would serve as an inspiration to other students, particularly young girls, encouraging them to pursue education with dedication and confidence.
