DWA Holds Sawan & Raakhi Meet
The Doctors’ Wives Association organised a vibrant Sawan & Raakhi Meet on 25th August 2026 at IMA Hall, Ranchi. The programme beautifully celebrated the spirit of Sawan and Rakhi through traditional festivities, music, dance and games.
Chairperson Vinita Sharan and Founder-cum-Co-Chairperson Jhooma Sarkar extended their warm felicitations. President Renu Tiwary delivered the welcome address, while Secretary Shweta Ranjan introduced the organising team.
The celebrations began with a soulful Ganesh Vandana and Shiv Stuti by Rinku Banerjee, followed by an enthralling group dance performance by the organisers, including Vinita Sharan, Renu Tiwary, Nita Sahay, Shobha Kumar, Rashmi Sinha, Arti Singh, Rekha Mishra, Prabha Daruka, Sudha Dhandhania, Swati Adukia, Sneha Jaiswal and others.
The dance performances by Anjali R. Singh, Pallavi Sharan, Dr. Tannu, Savita Jarika, Rashmi Agarwal and Dr. Angana Sarkar received wide appreciation. Melodious vocal performances by Amulya Swati and Rashmi Bakshi further mesmerised the audience.
All the organisers, including Kamlesh Midha, Anju Kumari Singh, Archana Jagnani, Dr. Shipra Sharan, Minakshi Bajaj and other members, came dressed in beautiful traditional and ethnic attire, creating a warm and festive atmosphere of culture, camaraderie and togetherness.
The celebration was a delightful blend of tradition, talent and friendship, making the Sawan & Raakhi Meet a memorable occasion for all.
