BSL-JIADA Synergy to drive Bokaro’s next phase of Industrial Growth

Bokaro, August 26: In a move aimed at giving fresh momentum to Bokaro’s overall industrial growth while strengthening the JIADA industrial ecosystem, representatives of the Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority (JIADA) held discussions with Bokaro Steel Plant Director-in-Charge Priya Ranjan on expansion, infrastructure and investment opportunities.
The initiative is being pursued in line with the directions of JIADA Regional Director and Bokaro Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha, with emphasis on coordinated efforts to attract investment, facilitate industrial expansion and create a stronger ecosystem for employment and economic activity across the district.
The JIADA delegation comprised Manoj Kumar, Deputy Regional Director, JIADA Bokaro Region, and Sunny Kumar, ADO, JIADA Bokaro Region. Senior BSL officials, including ED (MM) and ED (Works), also participated in the discussions.
The meeting focused on leveraging BSL’s expansion and modernisation plans to generate wider industrial opportunities, particularly for ancillary, downstream and support industries in the JIADA area. The proposed B300Mfield Expansion Project, infrastructure requirements and prospects for new industrial units and expansion of existing enterprises were discussed.
The Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC) and its potential to further enhance Bokaro’s industrial connectivity and investment prospects also figured in the deliberations.
The discussions underlined a common objective of accelerating industrial development across Bokaro, with focused efforts to expand the JIADA industrial base, improve supporting infrastructure, attract new investments and strengthen linkages with BSL. Such coordination is expected to create a more conducive environment for industries while opening new avenues for employment and economic growth in the district.
