121 children to receive sponsorship scheme benefits in Deoghar

A significant review meeting of the Social Security and Child Protection Department was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania at the Collectorate premises. The meeting reviewed the progress of departmental works and issued several important directives for child welfare.
The DC laid special emphasis on further strengthening the District Child Protection Unit. He issued strict instructions to the concerned officials to complete the recruitment process for all remaining vacant posts in the unit at the earliest. This step aims to accelerate departmental functioning and ensure prompt disposal of child protection cases.
Expressing sensitivity towards orphans, destitute children, and those who lost their parents during the COVID-19 pandemic, the DC directed officials to immediately provide benefits of the Sponsorship Scheme to 121 identified children. He instructed that applications should be thoroughly verified through the committee and submitted to the DC’s office without delay, ensuring no shortfall in the development and protection of children’s rights.
The meeting was attended by ADSS Sarita Bharti, District Child Protection Officer Meera Kumari, Assistant Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar Vidyarthi, members of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), and other officials and staff from the Child Protection and Social Security Department.
