40 sewing machines distributed to women trainees in Latehar

The Tailoring Training Programme organized under the Community Development Initiative of PVUNL Banhardih Coal Mining Project concluded successfully. On this occasion, Ashok Kumar Sehgal, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), PVUNL, distributed sewing machines to 40 trainees who had successfully completed the programme.
The programme was attended by Nirod Kumar Mallick, General Manager, Banhardih Coal Mining Project; Shri Aseem Misra, AGM (Mining); R. B. Singh, AGM (LA/R&R); Siddharth Shankar, AGM (Infras), other project officials, local villagers and media representatives.
The training programme was conducted over a period of two months, with 20 participants in each batch. A total of 40 trainees successfully completed the programme, equipping them with valuable tailoring skills and providing opportunities for self-employment and economic self-reliance.
All 40 participants were awarded Certificates of Completion in recognition of their successful participation and commitment throughout the training period. To encourage excellence and healthy competition, a skill-based contest was organized among the trainees. Five outstanding participants were felicitated with mementos and shawls for their exceptional performance and dedication during the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Kumar Sehgal, Chief Executive Officer, PVUNL, reiterated the organization’s commitment to the social and economic empowerment of local communities. He expressed confidence that the training and distribution of sewing machines would help the beneficiaries become self-reliant and contribute to strengthening their families’ livelihoods.
