The district administration has initiated a major push to overhaul local welfare infrastructure and elevate Dumka’s performance on national socio-economic indices. Chairing a high-profile review meeting on Monday, Deputy Commissioner Abhijit Sinha took stock of ongoing developmental works, signaling a clear shift toward strict accountability and time-bound execution across health, education, agriculture, and rural livelihood sectors.
With a distinct focus on the Aspirational Blocks Programme, he directed departmental heads to ensure seamless inter-departmental coordination to hit NITI Aayog targets ahead of schedule. Sinha underscored that accelerating the pace of project execution is central to the administration’s governance model, noting that the ultimate success of these initiatives hinges on the timely and unhindered delivery of benefits to rural communities. To maintain quality control and eliminate structural delays, he mandated regular field visits and rigorous monitoring of all active project sites.
The progress of crucial rural infrastructure being developed under dedicated NITI Aayog funding was also closely scrutinized during the session. These high-priority interventions include the modernization of digital Anganwadi centers, setting up smart classrooms in government schools, erecting campus boundary walls, improving campus sanitation facilities, and establishing specialized bamboo-making sheds aimed at empowering local artisans.
Observing that a substantial number of these projects are sitting on the verge of completion, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned departments to clear all pending bottlenecks immediately. He ordered that final operational handovers be executed without administrative delay, ensuring that these newly created public assets are opened to the community at the earliest. The strategy session concluded with a collective call to action to enhance the district’s overall growth trajectory, with DDC Aniket Sachan, AC Avnish Singh, the DPO and other senior administrative officials in attendance.
