Under its social service initiatives, the Doctors’ Wives Association organised a food distribution drive at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences campus on Monday. Around 150–175 kilograms of khichdi was prepared and distributed among patients, their attendants and other needy people present in the hospital premises.

The meal was prepared using nearly 50 kilograms of rice along with other ingredients and was served to hundreds of beneficiaries. The initiative aimed to provide support and comfort to people facing difficult circumstances while undergoing treatment or caring for patients at the hospital.

Beneficiaries appreciated the effort, describing it as a timely gesture of compassion and community service.

Among those present were Founder and Co-Chairperson Jhooma Sarkar, President Renu Tiwari, Secretary Shweta Ranjan, along with several members of the association.

The Doctors’ Wives Association has been actively involved in social welfare activities and continues to undertake humanitarian initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable sections of society.
