On the occasion of the 12th International Yoga Day, large-scale yoga sessions were organized across various offices, railway colonies, and stations of the Ranchi Railway Division. The theme for this year’s International Yoga Day was “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.”
Officers, employees, and their family members celebrated International Yoga Day by participating in group yoga sessions at various locations across the division, including the Rail Club at Hatia Railway Colony, as well as at Muri, Bano, and Lohardaga.
Karuna Nidhi Singh, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Ranchi, participated in yoga exercises alongside officers and staff at the Rail Club, Hatia, and encouraged everyone to adopt yoga as a regular practice. Speaking on the occasion, he remarked, “Yoga is not merely a physical exercise but the foundation of a healthy lifestyle. Regular yoga practice maintains physical and mental balance and helps ensure better health and vitality at every stage of life.”
A live broadcast of the main yoga event held in Kolkata (West Bengal)—led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi—was also screened during the occasion, which the officers and staff watched with great enthusiasm.
International Yoga Day was also celebrated by employees at all major stations, Railway Protection Force (RPF) posts, coaching depots, and other offices across the division, where the importance of yoga for a healthy life was highlighted.
