Expressing displeasure over alleged embezzlement of donations received at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya State BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu, stated that those involved in theft will be behind the bars and that the Yogi government would not spare the perpetrators. He made this statement in response to questions from journalists regarding the theft incident at the Ram Mandir.
The BJP state president remarks assume importance as on Saturday, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, on day long visit to Jharkhand, stated that no one involved in the theft of donation money meant for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir would be spared.
Addressing media persons at the State Guest House in Ranchi on Saturday, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale remarked that the faith of crores of people across the country and the world is linked to the temple. Given that crores of rupees were donated, both the Uttar Pradesh and central governments are taking the complaints of irregularities in the donation funds seriously, and action is being initiated against those implicated in the allegations. The Union Minister stated, “I demand that those found guilty in this matter not be spared under any circumstances.”
Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said action against those accused in the alleged embezzlement of donations received at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya began immediately after the SIT submitted its report, asserting that those found guilty would not be spared.
Adityanath reiterated his warning against hurting people’s faith. “Ayodhya is a symbol of the faith of all of us and of Sanatan Dharma. Do not cast an evil eye on Ayodhya. Learn to uphold the dignity of Lord Ram. We had said an SIT had been constituted and that action would begin as soon as its report was received,” Adityanath said, recalling his remarks in Ayodhya on June 19.
Meanwhile, BJP state president Sahu who was in Palamu stated that the government has failed to formulate a clear policy on sand, causing significant hardship to the public; people are unable to procure sand for home construction or personal needs. Meanwhile, sand is being transported to other states via highways. He alleged that those in power are profiting from the illegal sand trade.
