In an innovative outreach initiative, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha has brought together Bokaro’s popular social media creators to support the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 campaign, aiming to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral roll.
The programme at the Collectorate auditorium witnessed a symbolic moment when the DC posed for a selfie with the digital creators, reflecting the growing partnership between the administration and the youth-led digital community in promoting democratic participation.
Interacting with the creators, the DC said social media has evolved into a powerful platform for public awareness and social change. He urged them to use their online reach to spread authentic information about SIR-2026, encourage citizens to fill Enumeration Forms, counter misinformation with verified facts, and promote only official Election Commission updates.
The creators will now produce voter awareness content across their platforms using hashtags such as #JharkhandSIR, #BokaroSIR, and #BokaroSeJohar, helping the campaign reach a wider audience, particularly young voters.
The initiative is being seen as a progressive blend of governance and digital influence. By engaging local content creators in an electoral awareness campaign, the DC has demonstrated how social media can be effectively harnessed to strengthen democratic participation and informed citizenship.
