Ehtesham Waquarib new SSP for Jamshedpur

In a major administrative reshuffle following the high-profile murder of Karni Sena leader Himanshu Singh in Jamshedpur, the Jharkhand government on Wednesday appointed new police chiefs for East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan districts.

According to a notification issued by the Home Department, 2015-batch IPS officer Ehtesham Waquarib has been appointed as the new Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Jamshedpur. He was previously serving as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The government has also appointed IPS officer Manoj Swargiyari as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) of Seraikela-Kharsawan district.

The newly appointed officers are expected to take charge immediately and oversee efforts to maintain law and order, expedite investigations into recent incidents, and strengthen policing across the two districts.
