JSCA marks Amitabh Choudhary’s birth anniversary
with Mega Blood Donation Camp, Plantation Drive

The Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) commemorated the birth anniversary of its former president, Late Amitabh Choudhary, by organizing a Mega Blood Donation Camp and a Plantation Drive at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi on Sunday.
The public welfare initiatives, observed as “Benevolence Day,” were jointly organized by JSCA, Country Cricket Club (CCC), Zinnia – The Voice of Child, and the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).
Members of the cricket fraternity, players, officials, staff, and citizens from different walks of life participated enthusiastically in the programme. The blood donation camp collected approximately 110 units of blood, which will be used to support patients requiring transfusions.
A plantation drive was also conducted within the stadium complex to honour Amitabh Choudhary’s commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development.
The event was attended by JSCA President Ajay Nath Shahdeo, Vice-President Sanjay Pandey, Treasurer Amitava Ghosh, CCC President Sunil Sahu, CCC Secretary Rajiv Badhan, and CCC Treasurer Vinay Karan, along with members of both organizations.
Several former office-bearers of JSCA, including former presidents Sanjay Sahay and Kuldeep Singh, former vice-president Dr. Narendra Sinha, former secretary Rajesh Verma, and former joint secretary P. N. Singh, were also present.
Among those who donated blood were JSCA President Ajay Nath Shahdeo, Committee of Management member Sanjay Jain, CCC Director Chandrashekhar Kinger, CCC Director Anupam Deo, and Abhishek Choudhary, son of the late Amitabh Choudhary, who paid tribute to his father’s legacy through the humanitarian gesture.
Remembering Amitabh Choudhary’s contribution to sports administration, social service, and public welfare, JSCA described the blood donation camp and plantation drive as a fitting tribute to his enduring legacy of service.
The association thanked all blood donors, volunteers, medical professionals, and partner organizations for making the event a success and reaffirmed its commitment to organizing similar community welfare initiatives in the future.
