Jharkhand Tourism Minister Sudivya Kumar on Thursday inaugurated the state’s first floating restaurants and a musical fountain at Patratu Lake Resort in Ramgarh district, describing the project as a major step towards promoting tourism in the state.
The two floating restaurants, named Mayurakshi and Koyal, were inaugurated in the presence of Barkagaon MLA Roshan Lal Choudhary, Ramgarh MLA Mamta Devi, tourism department officials and local residents.
The floating restaurants will offer 45-50 minute rides on Patratu Lake, during which visitors can enjoy snacks while taking in the scenic surroundings. The newly inaugurated musical fountain will operate during the evening and is expected to become another major attraction for tourists.
Speaking to reporters, Sudivya Kumar said the addition of the floating restaurants and musical fountain would significantly enhance Patratu’s tourism potential.
“Patratu has received two major attractions today. These facilities will make it a preferred destination for tourists. Visitors will be able to enjoy a boat ride with refreshments and experience the musical fountain in the evening,” the minister said.
Barkagaon MLA Roshan Lal Choudhary welcomed the initiative and thanked the tourism minister for strengthening tourism infrastructure in the region. He said further development was needed around the lake and that the matter had been discussed with the minister.
The project is part of the state government’s efforts to boost tourism, create local employment and enhance visitor experience at one of Jharkhand’s most popular tourist destinations.
