The Jharkhand Regional Worker Competitive Examination (JRWCE)-2024, organized by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), commenced today across the state under strict security arrangements. The exam is being conducted in three shifts using OMR sheets across 813 centers established in various district headquarters, with a total of 322,867 candidates appearing for the test.
To ensure a peaceful, fair, and malpractice-free environment, extensive security measures have been deployed at all locations. Candidates are undergoing multi-layered screening, including mandatory metal detector checks, before entering their respective examination halls. Visuals of these strict security checks are continuously emerging from various district centers. All venues are being monitored via CCTV cameras, and robust measures have been implemented to prevent the misuse of electronic devices. Magistrates, police personnel, and administrative officials have also been deployed on-site to maintain order.
In the capital city of Ranchi alone, nearly 60,000 candidates are taking the exam across 132 centers. A large number of aspirants from different districts began arriving in Ranchi on Saturday, leading to heavy crowds at the railway station and government bus depots late into the night.
Meanwhile, the Ramgarh district administration has been on high alert since Saturday. Under the direction of the Deputy Commissioner and led by Sub-Divisional Officer Krishna Murari Tirki, police teams conducted intensive search operations in various hotels and lodges ahead of the exam. The examination is currently underway across 30 centers in the district under tight vigil. Hotel operators have been instructed to maintain detailed records of all guests and immediately report any suspicious activity to the police. Regular police patrolling is also being carried out in and around the exam zones.
The JSSC has strictly prohibited the entry of any electronic gadgets inside the examination centers, urging candidates to maintain the integrity of the process. The commission warned that anyone caught using unfair means will face stringent action under the Jharkhand Competitive Examination (Prevention and Redressal of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act, 2023. The examination is proceeding peacefully across the state under the joint supervision of the district administration and police forces to ensure complete fairness and transparency.
