Premiere was held at the Maitreya School auditorium for the short feature film Baba Vaidyanath Hi Sahara, which is all set to release on YouTube on 24 July 2026.
The film, presented by Story & Entertainment 45, received an enthusiastic response from the city’s prominent citizens who attended the special screening. Audience members openly shared their appreciation for the film’s story, performances, and emotional depth.
Most of the cast and crew of the film hail from Deoghar. The movie features a single song based on the iconic composition by Mahakavi Vidyapati — “Kakhan Harab Dukh Mor, He Bholanath”. The song was recorded at Ratnesh Bhagat Studio in Andheri, Mumbai, with Manoj Jha as singer and music composer, and Ratnesh Bhagat as recording engineer. Bollywood lyricist Vimal Kashyap, a resident of Deoghar, graced the occasion as a special guest. The instrumental version was recorded at P.G. Super Sound Studio in Patna, with Pradeep Gupta as recording engineer and Sitaram Singh as music arranger.
The film was shot at several iconic locations including Baba Vaidyanath Temple, Chitravali, Deoghar Inter-State Bus Stand, Dumma Border, Kanwariya Path, Marwari Kanwar Sangh, Purani Pandey Shop, Kunda, and the holy banks of the Uttarvahini Ganga at Sultanganj.
The protagonist, a staunch devotee of Baba Vaidyanath, embarks on the Kanwar Yatra from Sultanganj carrying Ganga water. A life-changing incident during the journey highlights the power of faith and the miracles of Baba Vaidyanath. The film celebrates the spirit of devotion and spirituality associated with the Kanwar Yatra during the Shravan Mela.
The film will be released on YouTube on 24 July 2026, coinciding with the grand Rajkiya Shravan Mela 2026. During the month-long mela, millions of devotees from across the country and abroad visit Deoghar to offer Ganga water to Baba Vaidyanath. The movie aims to spread the message of faith, devotion, and the divine miracles of Baba Vaidyanath to a wider audience.
