A cybercrime and legal awareness camp was organised at Anjana Upgraded Plus Two School in Pakur on Tuesday by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) under the guidance of JHALSA. DLSA Secretary Rupa Bandana Kiro cautioned students against cyber frauds such as fake calls, OTP scams, KYC fraud and phishing links, urging them not to share personal or banking information.
Officer-in-Charge Gaurav Kumar highlighted online scams involving UPI, QR codes, fake investment schemes, gaming apps and social media hacking. Permanent Lok Adalat member Rajiv Kumar Jha also educated students about digital safety and emerging cyber threats.
Deputy Chief of the Legal Aid Defence Counsel System Mohammad Nukumuddin Sheikh advised victims to report cyber fraud immediately through the national helpline 1930 or the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. The programme also included a session on responsible mobile use, child protection and awareness against child marriage, attended by teachers, social workers and students.
