The BJP has launched a fierce attack on the state government, raising serious allegations against its functioning and the statements made by its ministers. Addressing media persons at the BJP office, State Spokesperson Pradeep Sinha stated that the coalition government in Jharkhand has almost completely lost control over administrative officers. As a result, administrative discipline has weakened and accountability regarding public matters is declining.
He said that senior state ministers’ instructions being ignored is clear proof that the government itself has failed to maintain control over its administrative machinery. He further added that in recent days, the behaviour of the Deoghar senior government officials towards the Leader of the Opposition, Babulal Marandi, has raised serious questions about the administrative working style across the entire state.
Pradeep Sinha emphasized that officers not even responding to calls made by BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu demonstrates their irresponsible attitude. He asserted that in a democratic system, the neglect of public representatives cannot be acceptable under any circumstances.
Accusing the state government, the BJP State Spokesperson mentioned that this is not the first time the administration has been misused under political protection. A serious case like sedition was registered against the then BJP State President Deepak Prakash, which was a clear example of political vendetta. He alleged that the same mindset is visible in the administrative working system even today.
BJP Spokesperson Pradeep Sinha stated that the Indian Constitution clearly defines the rights and responsibilities of both the legislature and the executive. Public representatives communicate with officials to resolve the issues faced by citizens; therefore, it is the duty of officials to adhere to constitutional decorum, accountability, and courtesy. If officials ignore public representatives, it will weaken the democratic system and affect public trust.
