In a bid to ensure the seamless execution of the upcoming State Shravani Mela 2026 and to guarantee optimal facilities for visiting devotees, Deputy Commissioner Abhijit Sinha conducted an extensive on-site inspection of the Tent City and key fairgrounds at Basukinath Dham on Sunday. During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner thoroughly reviewed basic amenities, including accommodation arrangements, sanitation, drinking water availability, and security measures, while issuing necessary directives to the administrative officers present.
Emphasizing the importance of visitor comfort during night hours, the Deputy Commissioner directed officials to maintain proper and adequate lighting throughout the Tent City. He issued strict instructions to ensure that bedsheets inside every tent are changed daily, stressing that high standards of cleanliness must be maintained across all lodging setups without fail.
Addressing key logistical needs, DC Sinha called for an uninterrupted supply of clean drinking water and instructed the setup of dedicated mobile charging zones to assist pilgrims. Highlighting hygiene as a paramount focus for the district administration, he ordered continuous, round-the-clock cleaning and maintenance of all public toilets across the mela premises, asserting that sanitation must remain the top priority throughout the event.
Concluding the review, the Deputy Commissioner mandated that all concerned departments execute their assigned responsibilities in a timely and quality-driven manner. Reaffirming the administration’s commitment to providing a safe, clean, and hassle-free environment for every devotee, he urged all line departments to operate in close coordination throughout the duration of the pilgrimage.
