Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has emerged as the national champion at the prestigious 35th National Management Games, helping SAIL reclaim the coveted title after 16 years.
The competition featured over 150 teams from leading public and private sector organisations, including SAIL, NTPC, Maruti Suzuki, IOCL, NHPC, L&T and ONGC. After five regional rounds, the top 19 teams qualified for the grand finale.
Representing BSL, Rahul Ranjan Panda, Senior Manager, Hot Strip Mill (HSM), and Owais Ahmad, Senior Manager, CMM-CTS, won the championship through exceptional strategic thinking, business decision-making and financial skills in the business simulation event. NTPC teams finished second and third.
The achievement is significant as SAIL last won the National Management Games in 2010, when the championship was also secured by a Bokaro Steel Plant team.
Congratulating the winners, BSL’s top management said the success reflects the plant’s strong leadership, management excellence and continued focus on innovation and operational efficiency.
