The District Education Project (JEP), Lohardaga, in collaboration with the Language and Learning Foundation (LLF), on Sunday organised a district-level dissemination programme and released the Teaching Learning Practices Survey (TLPS) 2025 Jharkhand State Study Report at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Chiri.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp followed by the formal release of the report by District Education Superintendent-cum-Additional District Programme Officer Abhijeet Kumar, Additional District Programme Officer Monideepa Banerjee and other dignitaries.
Presenting the report’s key findings, Abhijeet Kumar described the TLPS as more than a research document, calling it a practical roadmap for improving the quality of teaching and learning in schools. He said Block Resource Persons (BRPs) and Cluster Resource Persons (CRPs) had been directed to promote the effective classroom practices highlighted in the report during their routine school visits while extending academic support to teachers. The implementation of these practices, he added, is expected to significantly improve students’ Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) outcomes.
The event also featured an interactive discussion on the report, during which participants shared experiences and suggested practical strategies for implementing its recommendations at the school level. Deliberations focused on the collective role of the Education Department, academic support teams, teachers and other stakeholders in creating an effective learning environment.
LLF District Programme Coordinators Nikhil Kumar and Kanchan Bhagat coordinated the programme and explained the report’s findings in the context of Lohardaga’s educational needs. They emphasised that coordinated efforts among all stakeholders would strengthen teaching-learning processes and contribute to better learning outcomes for children.
