Pakur district has completed 100% distribution of enumeration forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of the electoral rolls, while 98% of the forms have already been digitised, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Megha Bhardwaj said during a review meeting with representatives of recognised political parties on Tuesday.
The meeting, held at the Collectorate conference hall, reviewed the progress of the SIR campaign across the district.
Addressing the participants, Bhardwaj said all enumeration forms had been successfully distributed and that digitisation of 98% of the forms had been completed as of July 27, 2026. She added that officials and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) were working actively to complete the remaining work within the stipulated timeline.
The Deputy Commissioner urged political party representatives to help identify any eligible voter who may still have been left out of the process.
“If any eligible voter has not yet filled the enumeration form or their details have not been digitised, they should be identified immediately so that the form can be completed and digitised without delay,” she said.
She also clarified that the completion of the SIR process would not prevent eligible citizens from enrolling as voters in the future. As per the provisions of the Election Commission of India, eligible applicants will continue to have the opportunity to apply for inclusion of their names in the electoral roll, seek corrections, or submit claims and objections through the prescribed procedure.
Calling for continued cooperation from all stakeholders, the District Election Officer said ensuring that every eligible citizen is enrolled as a voter is vital for strengthening the democratic process.
