NIT Jamshedpur wins top honour at National Government Expo

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur added another feather to its cap by securing the First Prize for Excellence in Industry-Oriented Technical Education at the Government Achievements & Schemes Expo–2026, held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from July 25 to 27.
The prestigious three-day exhibition brought together leading educational institutions, government organisations, and industry stakeholders from across the country to showcase achievements in governance, technology, innovation, and skill development. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from thousands of visitors, including rural communities, school and college students, academicians, and representatives from various industries.
Representing NIT Jamshedpur at the national platform were Dr. Deepak Kumar and Dr. Alok Kumar Ray from the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Through an interactive exhibition stall, the faculty members showcased the institute’s achievements in technical education, cutting-edge research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry-oriented academic programmes.
Visitors were introduced to NIT Jamshedpur’s initiatives aimed at strengthening industry-academia collaboration, promoting research-driven education, and preparing students with skills aligned to the evolving needs of modern industries.
The First Prize for Excellence in Industry-Oriented Technical Education recognised NIT Jamshedpur’s sustained efforts in producing highly skilled engineering graduates while fostering research and technological innovation.
