The Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which is investigating complaints of alleged irregularities in the 14th Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Civil Services Preliminary Examination, has appealed to successful candidates to submit the carbon copies of their OMR answer sheets to assist the ongoing inquiry.
According to the CID, candidates may scan the carbon copies of their Paper-I and Paper-II OMR sheets and send them in PDF format, or submit clear photographs through the designated WhatsApp number or official email address issued by the agency. Candidates who do not possess the carbon copies have also been requested to inform the CID, along with the reasons for their unavailability.
The investigating agency said that obtaining the OMR carbon copies would help ensure that the probe is conducted in a fair, transparent, and effective manner. To facilitate the submission of documents and information, the CID has released a dedicated WhatsApp number and official email ID for candidates.
The CID reiterated that its investigation into the alleged irregularities in the 14th JPSC Preliminary Examination is progressing on multiple fronts. Earlier, the agency had also appealed to candidates and members of the public to share any documents, evidence, or information relevant to the case.
As part of the ongoing investigation, former JPSC Chairman L. Khiangte was questioned by the CID for two consecutive days. Investigators sought details regarding various aspects of the recruitment process, and officials indicated that he may be called for further questioning if required as the probe progresses.
The CID has maintained that it is examining all available evidence to establish the facts surrounding the allegations and ensure a comprehensive and impartial investigation into the recruitment process.
