Prepzy.ai, Vikas Bharti partner to bring AI-powered
24×7 personal tutors to Jharkhand’s tribal students

Students in some of Jharkhand’s remotest tribal and rural areas struggling for quality education may soon have access to round-the-clock personalised academic support following a new partnership aimed at expanding AI-driven learning for school students across the state.
Vikas Bharti, Bishunpur, on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GlobusLearn Services India Private Limited to introduce Prepzy.ai, an artificial intelligence-powered learning platform for students of Classes 6 to 12, across its network spanning all 24 districts of Jharkhand. The agreement was announced during a press conference in Ranchi.
The initiative seeks to provide students, particularly first-generation learners in underserved communities, with access to a personalised digital tutor that can assist them at any time. According to the organisations, the platform is aligned with the NCERT and CBSE curriculum and follows the competency-based, learner-centric framework envisioned under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
At the core of the platform is Atlas, an AI tutor that allows students to ask questions through text or voice in Hindi, English and regional languages. The system provides step-by-step explanations and is designed to function as a 24×7 doubt-solving and mentoring tool, offering one-on-one learning support regardless of location or time.
Prepzy.ai was founded under the academic leadership of Dr. S. Shivendu, Associate Professor at the University of South Florida, a former IAS officer of Jharkhand cadre, and an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and IIM Ahmedabad. Addressing the gathering, he said technology in education must be rooted in sound pedagogy and learning science.
“We built Prepzy.ai so that every child, irrespective of where they live or their family’s economic background, can receive the kind of personal attention that significantly improves learning outcomes,” he said.
Former Jharkhand Chief Secretary Sudhir Tripathi, who serves as Senior Vice President for Institutional Relations at GlobusLearn, said that despite decades of investment in education, quality learning still remains out of reach for millions of children. He said the platform aims to bridge that gap by placing a personal tutor in the hands of every student, including those living in remote and economically weaker regions.
Former Jharkhand Education Secretary Mridula Sinha, Executive Director and Co-founder of GlobusLearn, said the initiative was inspired by the need to address inequities in access to quality education. She noted that many students struggle not because of a lack of ability but due to limited educational opportunities.
The platform offers a range of features, including diagnostic tests, concept-building modules, more than 5,200 NCERT-mapped video lectures, chapter-wise practice questions, custom tests, mock examinations, revision notes, and real-time progress tracking for students, teachers and parents.
Vikas Bharti Bishunpur, which has been working in Jharkhand since 1982, will use its grassroots network to expand the platform’s reach to schools and communities across the state. Padma Shri Ashok Bhagat, Secretary of the organisation, said the collaboration could help ensure that children in remote villages receive learning opportunities comparable to those available in urban centres.

Through Prepzy.ai, a child living in the remotest block of Jharkhand will now have the opportunity to learn at the same level as a child in a city.”
The two organisations said they plan to begin with an initial rollout and eventually expand the programme by adding regional language support, strengthening foundational learning and building teacher capacity. They also said Prepzy.ai currently offers some courses at costs as low as Rs 3 per day and plans to expand into competitive examination preparation, including NEET, JEE and state-board curricula in the future.
