BJP State Chief Spokesperson, Pratul Shah Deo, today said that the six-and-a-half-year tenure of the JMM/Congress Government has become synonymous with the destruction of the aspirations of Jharkhand’s youth, rampant irregularities in competitive examinations, and recruitment scams.
He said that the BJP unequivocally demands a CBI investigation into every competitive examination conducted during the more than six-and-a-half years of the Hemant Soren Government. Since the Chief Minister also holds charge of the Education Department, he must immediately resign, accepting moral responsibility.
Pratul further stated that since serious allegations have been levelled against the entire Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), all its members should be removed and fresh appointments made through a transparent and credible process.
Pratul alleged that despite serious facts emerging against former JPSC Chairman Khyangte, his failure to be arrested clearly indicates that the CID is engaged in a “friendly match” and is merely targeting small fish while shielding the real masterminds. The BJP strongly opposes this approach. He asserted that unless those who occupied the highest positions in the Commission are taken into custody and subjected to rigorous interrogation, the truth will never come out. Therefore, arresting only a few lower-level employees will not serve the cause of justice. Khiyangte must be arrested, he asserted.
Pratul Shah Deo said that the Congress Party’s double standards have once again been exposed. While Congress claims to champion the cause of youth in Delhi, it has remained completely silent over the alleged recruitment scam and the systematic destruction of the future of Jharkhand’s youth. He questioned why Congress has maintained silence over the alleged JPSC scam and whether the lure of power has completely overshadowed its principles.
He further pointed out that even a former Congress spokesperson had been appointed as a member of the JPSC and serious allegations have also surfaced against him. Shah Deo asked why Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who routinely lead protests on various issues, have chosen to remain conspicuously silent on the plight of Jharkhand’s youth.
State Co-Media In-charge Ajay Rai was also present at today’s press conference.
