Amidst the ongoing student protest at Ranchi’s Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium, a significant development has emerged. A delegation led by Congress party’s State In-Charge, K Raju is set to meet Chief Minister (CM) Hemant Soren on Wednesday, to apprise the Government of the students’ demands.
Raju will arrive in Ranchi tomorrow; he will first hold a meeting with party leaders before proceeding to meet the Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand’s Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister, Deepika Pandey Singh, has assured the State’s students that justice will be served. She stated that the CID is investigating the paper leak case with great speed.
The Minister said that while a CBI inquiry into the paper leak had taken place previously, the outcome is known to all. The state government is formulating a concrete strategy to conduct examinations without the risk of paper leaks.
Dipika further said, “Notably, the Jharkhand Government was the first to enact legislation aimed at preventing paper leaks and ensuring the strictest punishment for the guilty—a law that the Central Government has now mirrored with its own similar legislation. The State Government is concerned about the students’ future, and the Congress party, in particular, has treated this matter with great seriousness.”
Recently, Kumar Raja, the Congress party’s Ranchi city president, visited the protest site with a delegation to meet the students and listen to their grievances. He assured them that he would convey their demands to the Chief Minister through his party’s leadership.
