To effectively manage the heavy influx of devotees and streamline passenger movement during the sacred Shravani Mela, Eastern Railway has rolled out a comprehensive schedule of additional unreserved special trains linking prominent religious circuits.
The special operations commence with the 03562 Jasidih–Basukinath Shravani Mela Special (Unreserved), set to run on August 10, August 17, and August 24, 2026. Departing Jasidih at 14:55 hours, it will arrive in Basukinath at 16:05 hours, servicing passengers with designated halts at Deoghar, Mohanpur, and Ghormara. For travelers heading toward the state capital, the 03563 Basukinath–Patna Shravani Mela Special (Unreserved) will depart Basukinath at 16:45 hours on those same dates, reaching Patna at 01:00 hours the next morning. Its return counterpart, the 03564 Patna–Basukinath Shravani Mela Special (Unreserved), is scheduled to leave Patna at 01:20 hours on August 11, August 18, and August 25, 2026, pulling into Basukinath by 09:00 hours. Both directions of this route will feature stoppages at Ghormara, Mohanpur, Deoghar, Jasidih, and Simultala within the railway’s jurisdiction.
Further expanding mid-day travel options, the 03565 Basukinath–Patna Shravani Mela Special (Unreserved) will depart at 10:30 hours on August 11, August 18, and August 25, 2026, reaching Patna at 20:00 hours with standard en-route halts at Ghormara, Mohanpur, Deoghar, Jasidih, and Simultala. To cater to late-evening commuters, the 03566 Patna–Jasidih Shravani Mela Special (Unreserved) will leave Patna at 20:25 hours on the specified dates, arriving at Jasidih at 02:50 hours the following day with a stop at Simultala.
Long-distance connectivity has also been prioritized to accommodate out-of-station pilgrims. The 03567 Madhupur–Narkatiaganj Shravani Mela Special (Unreserved) will depart Madhupur at 01:00 hours on August 11, August 18, and August 25, 2026, arriving at Narkatiaganj by 12:25 hours. The return service, the 03568 Narkatiaganj–Madhupur Shravani Mela Special (Unreserved), will make its southbound journey starting at 13:25 hours on the same dates, reaching Madhupur at 02:15 hours the next morning. Both inbound and outbound services for this route will accommodate regional passengers with stops at Jasidih and Simultala stations.
