The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, under the Department of Personnel and Training, has approved high-level appointments within the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
According to an order issued on August 10, three senior officers—including Anish Gupta, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Jharkhand cadre currently serving as a Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the CBI—have been promoted to the rank of Joint Director.
The list also includes Akhilesh Kumar Singh (2008 batch, Maharashtra cadre) and Satya Veer Singh (2008 batch, Bihar cadre), both IPS officers.
