NIT Jamshedpur welcomes its first MBA batch

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur welcomed its first MBA programme batch with an orientation-cum-induction programme on Thursday.
A total of 24 students have registered for the MBA programme. The programme was held at Room No. 212, DJLH, NIT Jamshedpur. The programme was organised to familiarise the new students with the academic environment, institutional culture, facilities and opportunities available at NIT Jamshedpur, while providing them with a meaningful beginning to their MBA journey.
The programme was addressed by Prof. Goutam Sutradhar, Director, NIT Jamshedpur, who welcomed the newly admitted students and encouraged them to make the best use of the academic and professional opportunities available at the Institute. He emphasised the importance of academic excellence, discipline, leadership, innovation and continuous learning in shaping successful management professionals.
Prof. Amaresh Kumar, HoD, Department of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management (HSSM), along with other dignitaries and faculty members, also addressed the students. They welcomed the new batch and shared insights into the academic framework, institutional expectations, learning environment and opportunities available during the programme.
The speakers encouraged the students to actively participate in academic, co-curricular and professional activities and to develop analytical thinking, managerial skills, leadership qualities and a responsible professional outlook. They also emphasised the importance of collaborative learning, interaction with faculty members and effective utilisation of the Institute’s resources.
The orientation-cum-induction programme provided the newly admitted students an opportunity to become familiar with the Department, faculty members and the academic environment of NIT Jamshedpur. The programme marked the beginning of their academic and professional journey at the Institute.
The programme concluded with best wishes to all 24 MBA students for a successful, enriching and rewarding academic journey at NIT Jamshedpur.
