The ministry of railways has issued ‘sanction memorandum’ of 107.89 km broad gauge railway line between Sherghati (Gayaji district Bihar) and Kajree (Palamu, Jharkhand) said sources.
The sanction memorandum dated August 13 has been issued by the Construction Organisation of the East Central Railway.
Giving this information late August 15 night Palamu BJP MP Vishnu Dayal Ram said ” It was our long over due demand. It took me my first two terms of the Parliament. I got the sanction memorandum only in my ongoing third term of the Lok Sabha.”
“I have no count myself as to for how many times be it Zero hour of the Lok Sabha or under the provision of Rule 377 I had raised the issue of broad gauge railway line between Sherghati Gayaji and Kajree Palamu Jharkhand on the floor of the Lok Sabha.” added the MP.
“This 107.89 km long broad gauge railway line will prove a line of hope and progress of business, trade and economy where there will indirectly come up newer avenues of work and job opportunities” reiterated the MP.
He was all praise for the union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for sanctioning the fund for the project. It’s a 2627.29 crores (Yes) project where three major departments of the railways namely civil engineering, signal and telecommunication and electrical wing will be involved and spending the sanctioned amount.
The railway line will reduce distance between Sherghati Gayaji and Kajree (Daltonganj) by 70 kms said railway sources. Kajree railway station is barely 7 kms away from the Daltonganj railway station.
