A special camp will be organised at all polling stations across Ranchi district on August 22 and 23 under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 to facilitate addition of names to the electoral roll and shifting of family members’ names to a common polling station.
The camps, which will be the second and final special camps under the revision exercise, will remain open from 10 am to 4 pm on both days.
District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi, Manjunath Bhajantri, has appealed to all eligible citizens to visit their respective polling stations on the scheduled dates and complete the necessary formalities related to the electoral roll.
Eligible Indian citizens can submit Form-6 for inclusion of their names in the electoral roll. The form can be submitted by citizens who have attained the age of 18 years or will attain 18 years by October 1, 2026, and are ordinarily residents of an electoral area in Jharkhand. Applicants will also be required to submit the prescribed declaration along with Form-6.
Form-8 can be used when members of the same family are registered at different polling stations but are currently residing at the same location. The form can be submitted to request shifting of their names to the same polling station.
The district administration said citizens can also submit Form-6 and Form-8 online through the ECINET app or by visiting the Election Commission of India’s voter services portal.
The administration has urged eligible citizens to make use of the second and final special camp and complete all necessary electoral roll-related procedures within the stipulated period.
