The readiness and humane approach of the Deoghar district administration once again came to the fore during the Rajakiya Shravani Mela 2026. A three-year-old child named ‘Chhotu Bam’, who had got separated from his parents at the fair, was safely reunited with his family within a short time through the prompt action of the Information and Assistance Centre.
According to reports, the three-year-old child ‘Chhotu Bam’ suddenly got separated from his parents while they were moving around the fair area. Seeing the child alone and crying, personnel on duty at the fair and officials of the Information and Assistance Centre took him into their custody. After consoling the child, continuous announcements were made from the assistance centre.
On receiving the prompt information through the centre, the parents, who were searching frantically, immediately reached the assistance centre. After proper verification, the administration safely handed the child back into the arms of his parents. On finding their child safe and sound again, the parents’ eyes welled up with tears. The emotional family members heartily thanked the Deoghar district administration, the team of the Information and Assistance Centre, and the fair management for their swift and compassionate response.
