BOKARO
The literary spirit of Bokaro came alive at the Bokaro Steel Library, Sector 5, where the monthly poetry meet was organised jointly by Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) and Akhil Bharatiya Chetna Darpan. The gathering brought together senior and young poets, who used poetry to reflect on social issues, contemporary realities, patriotism and human emotions.
The programme opened with a welcome address and Saraswati Vandana, “Hey Maa Sharde Veena Vadini.” Poets including Kasturi Sinha, Anil Kumar Srivastava, Kranti Srivastava, Kajal Bhalotia, Kanak Lata Rai, Neelam Jha, Padmavati Komal, Richa Priyadarshini, Dr Ranjana Srivastava, Shailaja Jha, Pankaj Premi, Vijay Shankar Malik and Amrita Sharma presented their works. The varied compositions, including a Bhojpuri poem, added diversity to the literary evening.
The presentations touched upon themes ranging from nature and youth to national pride, workplace experiences and contemporary social concerns. Participants also discussed the literary merit, expression and thematic depth of the poems, making the event an engaging platform for critical appreciation and dialogue.
Speakers highlighted the importance of providing poets and writers with regular platforms to share ideas and connect with readers. They said such initiatives not only nurture local literary talent but also contribute to a vibrant cultural and intellectual environment in the steel city.
The monthly meet reflects BSL’s continued commitment to encouraging literature, creativity and meaningful community engagement.
