The Jharkhand Tourism Department is set to add a spectacular technological dimension to the ongoing Rajkiya Shravani Mela 2026 in Deoghar, with a grand drone show scheduled for August 24.
The ultra-modern digital light show, being organised for the second consecutive year at the Shivalok Complex, aims to offer millions of devotees visiting Baba Baidyanath Dham a unique blend of technology, spirituality and devotion to Lord Shiva.
The programme will begin after 7 pm, with hundreds of digitally illuminated drones expected to take to the sky and create formations depicting Lord Shiva, Baba Baidyanath and other themes associated with the religious significance of Baba Dham.
According to the organisers, the aerial spectacle will be visible to devotees and residents within a radius of around five kilometres from the Baba Baidyanath Temple. The Tourism Department has described the initiative as an effort to enhance the grandeur and spiritual appeal of the annual Shravani Mela through indigenous technology.
The district administration and Tourism Department have appealed to devotees and local residents to witness the event while adhering to crowd-control and security arrangements.
The drone show is expected to be one of the major attractions of this year’s Shravani Mela, which draws large numbers of pilgrims to Deoghar during the holy month of Shravan. The administration has made extensive arrangements to manage the large crowds and ensure the smooth conduct of religious and cultural activities.
Officials said the combination of a traditional pilgrimage and modern digital technology is intended to provide devotees with a distinctive experience while showcasing Jharkhand’s growing use of technology in promoting religious tourism.
The August 24 event will mark the second consecutive year that the Tourism Department has organised a drone-based light show during the Shravani Mela, adding a contemporary spectacle to one of Jharkhand’s most prominent religious gatherings.
