The Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD), Ranchi Chapter, organised an expert talk on “The Search for the Objective of Human Beings” at the Jharkhand Government Tool Room here on Tuesday, bringing together speakers to discuss the purpose of human life, youth leadership, human values and social responsibility.
Chief guest Rahul Bose said learning is a lifelong process and that continuous learning, leadership development and human development are key to building a better society. He urged young people to combine knowledge and skills with human values and play an active role in social development.
Chief speaker Dr Mayank Murari said the purpose of life should go beyond professional success. “Success becomes meaningful when it is accompanied by social responsibility,” he said, urging young people to recognise their potential, discover their purpose and contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.
Hindi professor J.B. Pandey said true human development is reflected not merely in knowledge and achievements but also in behaviour, sensitivity and one’s attitude towards society.
Senior ISTD members Dr P.C. Mishra, N.K. Ojha and Prof. Dr Raman Vallabh also spoke on personality development, leadership, lifelong learning and social responsibility.
The event also witnessed the release of Dr Mayank Murari’s book, In Search of Meaning in Life. ISTD Ranchi Chapter president M.K. Gupta welcomed the guests and outlined the objectives of the programme. Guests and distinguished participants were felicitated with mementoes.
ISTD Ranchi Chapter honorary treasurer Ashutosh Mishra proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the national anthem.
