Press Club of Jamshedpur launches free OPD facility for members, dependents

In a significant welfare initiative aimed at supporting the health and well-being of journalists and their families, the Press Club of Jamshedpur has launched a free medical facility for its members and their dependents. Under the initiative, members will be able to avail free OPD consultations from participating doctors along with fixed discounts on medical tests and treatments.
So far, 13 doctors have agreed to extend their services under the initiative. The club plans to bring more doctors, hospitals and medical institutions on board in the coming days to expand the scope of the facility.
A medical booklet containing details of the facility was launched and distributed at a ceremony held at the auditorium of Nirmal Guest House in Bistupur. Doctors and office-bearers of the Press Club jointly unveiled the booklet.
Among those present were Dr. R. Kumar, Dr. Rajiv Thakur, Dr. Ketan Verma, Dr. R.K. Singh, Press Club President Sanjeev Bhardwaj, former president Brajesh Singh, General Secretary Vikas Srivastava and Joint Secretary Amit Tiwari.
Explaining the initiative, Press Club General Secretary Vikas Srivastava said the medical booklet would serve as the medium through which members and their dependents could access the facilities. It would enable them to obtain free OPD consultations from participating doctors and avail fixed discounts on various tests and treatments.
