CRPF 172 battalion organises blood donation camp

The 172 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized a blood donation camp at its Camp Hospital premises on Sunday under the ‘Raktdaan Mahadaan-2026’ campaign. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers and personnel of the battalion, reflecting their commitment to social service and humanitarian causes.
The camp commenced with blood donation by Pankaj Kumar, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Palamu Range, and Ajay Kumar Verma, Commandant of the 172 Battalion. Their initiative inspired many other officers and jawans to voluntarily donate blood and contribute to the noble cause.
Among those present were Second-in-Command Amrendra Kumar Singh, Assistant Commandant Amit Kishore, and several other senior officers. The camp aimed to promote social responsibility and help ensure the availability of life-saving blood for patients in need.
Speaking on the occasion, Commandant Ajay Kumar Verma said that blood donation is one of the noblest forms of service. He emphasized that, apart from protecting the nation, every CRPF personnel should remain dedicated to serving society. He added that the 172 Battalion has always been actively involved in community welfare activities and will continue to organize such public-service initiatives in the future.
