BSL organises Blood Donation Camp

On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) organised a voluntary blood donation camp at the Blood Centre of Bokaro General Hospital in association with the SAIL SC/ST Employees Federation and CISF, BSL-Bokaro Unit.

The camp was inaugurated by the Executive Director (Medical & Health Services), BSL. A total of 22 units of blood were collected during the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, the Executive Director said that blood donation is a noble act and that a single unit of blood can help save the lives of accident victims and critically ill patients. He stressed that blood donation strengthens the spirit of service, compassion and humanity in society.

He urged citizens to donate blood regularly and encourage others to do the same to help meet the growing demand for safe blood.

Members of the SAIL SC/ST Employees Federation, CISF personnel and the medical staff of Bokaro General Hospital contributed to the successful conduct of the camp.
