BSL to introduce special lease relocation scheme for residents

June 17, 2026

PNS

BOKARO

In the interest of public safety, Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) will soon launch a Special Lease Relocation Scheme for leaseholders residing in dilapidated and structurally unsafe residential blocks.

Under the scheme, affected leaseholders will be given priority in the allotment of alternative vacant quarters. The new allotments will be governed by the existing lease terms and conditions. Residents have already been informed through legal notices about the need to vacate unsafe premises and relocate.

BSL has urged all affected leaseholders to submit their applications promptly once the detailed circular is issued. The circular will contain information on the identified blocks, eligibility criteria, and the application process.

Most of the unsafe blocks have been identified in Sector-12, while some are located in Sectors 2, 6, and 9. The scheme aims to safeguard residents and their families from potential risks posed by deteriorating structures and provide them with safer housing alternatives.
