Jharkhand Krishi Vyapar Mela 2026 concluded successfully today with a grand closing ceremony, celebrating the state’s achievements and progress in the agriculture sector while outlining a roadmap for future development.
The dignified event brought together senior government officials, agricultural experts, industry stakeholders, and farmers from across the state. The ceremony recognised outstanding contributions to agriculture and highlighted the government’s continued commitment to strengthening farmer welfare and promoting sustainable rural development.
Senior leaders and professionals from the departments of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Cooperation, Fisheries, Horticulture, and Dairy Development were formally honoured for their strategic contributions towards strengthening Jharkhand’s agricultural ecosystem.
The speakers emphasised the importance of sustainable agricultural growth, effective policy implementation, and the expansion of direct support mechanisms for local farmers. They reiterated the government’s focus on creating resilient agricultural systems that improve productivity and enhance farmers’ livelihoods.
Adding a cultural dimension to the event, the Director of SAMETI (State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute) delivered a vibrant Nagpuri song performance, showcasing Jharkhand’s rich cultural heritage and receiving enthusiastic appreciation from the audience.
Winners across various agricultural categories were officially felicitated for their outstanding performance, innovation, and contributions to advancing the state’s agricultural sector.
The closing address commenced with remarks by Aboobacker Siddique P, Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Co-operative, who highlighted the importance of structural reforms and long-term investments in agriculture.
He stressed that integrating modern technologies, strengthening institutional support, and expanding farmer-centric initiatives are essential to making Jharkhand’s agricultural sector more resilient, productive, and self-reliant.
