The Jharkhand State BJP celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day extensively across all 595 organizational units (mandals) in the state. Senior party leaders, office bearers, MPs, MLAs, local public representatives, and party workers participated in the events held across the state. Everyone pledged to incorporate yoga into their daily routine.

State President and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu performed Yoga session at BJP Mahanagar office, Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi (Oxygen Park, Ranchi), former Chief Minister Arjun Munda (Ghorabandha, Jamshedpur), Raghubar Das (Surya Mandir, Sidgora), Champai Soren (Dhurwa Mandal), Madhu Koda (Jagannathpur, Chaibasa), Organization General Secretary Karmveer Singh (Patel Park, Harmu), Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi (Chandravati High School, Domchanch), Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth (Ministry of AYUSH, Ranchi), and Chief Whip in the Legislative Assembly Naveen Jaiswal (Argora) performed yoga.

Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Prasad Sahu performed yoga at the Gama Singh Smriti Auditorium in Ranchi and said that yoga is a discipline that not only keeps the body healthy and free from ailments but also aids in attaining the four Purusharthas (goals of human life).

Addressing the gathering after performing yoga at Oxygen Park in Ranchi district, Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi said that yoga is India’s cultural heritage, which has gained global recognition through the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Indian culture embodies the spirit of universal brotherhood. India’s sages proclaimed the ideal of “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niramayah” (May all be happy; may all be free from illness) thousands of years ago; yet, today, the entire world is realizing the importance of Yoga and how it keeps both the body and mind healthy. If people dedicate just half an hour each morning to practicing Yoga for their physical well-being, they can stay free from ailments.

Karmveer Singh, the Organizational General Secretary of the BJP’s Jharkhand unit, practiced Yoga at Patel Park in Harmu, Ranchi.
