Prof. Bimal Kumar Mishra Granted 15th Patent for Smart City Cybersecurity Innovation

Prof. (Dr.) Bimal Kumar Mishra, Principal of Adarsh College, Rajdhanwar, has been granted a new Indian patent for the invention titled “A Cybersecurity System for a Smart City Infrastructure and a Method for the Same.” The patent, numbered 592958, was granted by the Patent Office, Government of India, on June 22, 2026, against application no. 202541050488 filed on May 26, 2025.
This marks the 15th patent granted to Prof. Mishra, with patents awarded in India, South Africa, Australia, and Germany. The patented invention proposes an advanced cybersecurity framework for smart city infrastructure using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain Technology, and Mathematical Modeling.
Prof. Mishra is a distinguished mathematician and researcher with more than 140 research publications, 27 Ph.D. scholars guided, over 3,900 citations, and an h-index of 29. He has twice been listed among the world’s top 2% scientists in Mathematics.
He has earlier served as Professor and Head of Mathematics at BIT Mesra and held several major academic and administrative positions, including Dean of Students’ Welfare and Associate Dean. As Principal of Adarsh College, Rajdhanwar, he has contributed significantly to academic expansion, NAAC accreditation, research promotion, and institutional development.
