Four differently-abled residents of East Singhbhum received e-tricycles on the spot during the weekly Public Grievance Redressal Day held at the Collectorate on Tuesday, highlighting the district administration’s efforts to provide immediate assistance to citizens in need.
Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Ranjan, who presided over the grievance hearing, directed officials to take prompt action on applications submitted by members of the public and assured applicants that their concerns would be addressed in a timely and sensitive manner.
The provision of e-tricycles emerged as one of the key outcomes of the programme. Acting swiftly on requests received from four differently-abled individuals, the district administration facilitated the distribution of e-tricycles to improve their mobility and independence. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the immediate support, which is expected to make daily commuting and routine activities significantly easier.
Apart from the assistance provided to the differently-abled, the Deputy Commissioner heard grievances related to land disputes, mutation, PMEGP loan approvals, illegal encroachments, medical assistance, electricity connections, ration cards, water supply issues, family disputes and other public welfare matters.
Reviewing the applications one by one, Rajiv Ranjan instructed concerned departments to dispose of cases in accordance with rules and ensure that citizens do not have to make repeated visits to government offices. He said the objective of the Public Grievance Redressal Day is to provide swift, transparent and effective solutions to public problems through coordinated and sensitive action by all departments.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that citizen-centric governance remains a priority and directed officials to ensure prompt follow-up on all pending cases received during the hearing.
