Marking the seventh district in its ambitious 24-district state-wide tour, the ‘Vyavastha Sudhar Yatra’ led by JLKM leader Devendra Nath Mahto entered Dumka on Friday to spotlight persistent administrative inertia and civic distress. Commencing his tour by paying floral tributes to prominent historical luminaries and freedom fighters, Mahto led an energetic contingent of party cadres and local youth across key transit corridors of the sub-capital. The march formally commenced from the premises of SP College, threaded its way through the city’s bustling commercial hubs and market streets, and ultimately culminated in a gathering at the DC Chowk amid spirited slogans and widespread local enthusiasm.
The outreach program served as a direct interface with ordinary citizens, with the JLKM leadership actively documenting ground-level grievances concerning inadequate educational infrastructure, rampant unemployment, deteriorating road networks, erratic power and potable water supply, and sluggish delivery of public healthcare services. Mahto noted that the primary catalyst behind the statewide march is to ensure that long-neglected regional challenges find a potent, unyielding platform before the state administrative machinery.
Addressing the gathering at the conclusion of the march, Mahto underscored that genuine systemic transformation can never materialize in isolation from the authentic aspirations and concerns of the grassroots populace. He maintained that sustainable governance requires policy-makers to prioritize civic welfare over bureaucratic complacency and urged the youth and residents of Dumka to actively rally behind the reformist movement to reclaim their fundamental rights and hold public systems accountable.
