BOKARO
Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has issued fire and building safety guidelines for plot and shop allottees to ensure the safety of life and property and compliance with the National Building Code (NBC), fire safety regulations, electrical safety standards, and other statutory provisions.
As per the advisory, allottees must maintain adequate firefighting arrangements, including functional fire extinguishers and other fire safety equipment. Wherever applicable, valid Fire Safety NOCs and other statutory approvals must be obtained, while buildings should have adequate emergency exits and safe evacuation facilities.
The guidelines also require staircases, corridors, exit doors, and emergency escape routes to remain unobstructed at all times, and all electrical installations to comply with prescribed safety standards. Occupancy must not exceed the approved capacity, and premises should be used only for their sanctioned purpose.
The directions apply to coaching institutes, tutorial centres, libraries, hostels, offices, restaurants, commercial establishments, and other public-use premises operating in allotted properties.
BSL has directed all plot and shop allottees to submit a signed compliance affidavit, as prescribed by the TA-LRA Department, on letterhead or ₹10 non-judicial stamp paper by July 11, 2026.
