“Every record begins with a single step, but it is relentless hard work that turns a dream into history.”
Dr. Megha Rani, an author, social leader, and counsellor from Ranchi, has created a new world record by handwriting 120 original pages in Hindi continuously within 120 minutes, maintaining the remarkable speed of one page per minute.
The achievement came after months of dedicated preparation between January and May. Her first attempt was conducted in Jaipur and later evaluated online by an international panel of judges. The record was officially verified by World Record International, and she received the certificate on July 2, 2026, making her one of the fastest Hindi writers in the world.
Speaking to The Pioneer, Dr Megha Rani dedicated the achievement to her mother tongue and her home state. “This world record is dedicated to my mother tongue, Hindi, and my birthplace, Jharkhand,” she said. She added that the pages reflect the pride, culture, and traditions of Jharkhand in an original form. She also expressed hope that her achievement would inspire young people, especially girls, to believe in their abilities and work towards their dreams.
The 120 handwritten pages have already been submitted for publication and will soon be released as a book.
Dr Megha Rani has been writing on historical and social issues for the past seven years. With this achievement, she now holds six world records, including recognitions from the United States of America Book of World Records, the London Book of Records, the OMG Book of Records, the National Book of Records, the Influencer Book of World Records, and the Bharat World Record.
Apart from her literary work, she is actively involved in social service and human rights initiatives. She has authored several books, including Astitva ‘Ek Nari Ka’, Mansik Khel, Bhay Ki Parten, Andekhi Sachchai, and Shri Krishna Leela & Kanha, the last of which also earned international recognition.
Her work has brought her several national and international honours, including the National Pride Award 2025, Sahitya Seva Ratna Puraskar, Bharat Pratibha Samman, and a selection for the 16th World Leaders Summit 2026 at Keble College, University of Oxford, UK.
Dr Megha Rani’s latest achievement is not only a personal milestone but also a proud moment for Jharkhand. Her dedication, discipline, and passion continue to inspire aspiring writers and young achievers to pursue excellence with determination.
